At Global Garden, we offer educational and creative outlets for young learners in a warm and nurturing environment. When children come to our school, they will meet other students from a variety of social, economic and cultural backgrounds. We hope to instill a love of learning and appreciation for the many rich languages and cultures from around the world. Spanish and Japanese, in the form of songs, stories and lessons, are offered as enrichment. Japanese is taught by a native speaker, who also provides lessons about the vibrant culture. The program is an introduction to these languages. Children can expect to learn simple greetings and phrases, as well as colors and numbers. Music and movement are essential to our program and we incorporate yoga, children's songs, instruments and outdoor play time into our curriculum. While maintaining a strong emphasis on the social and emotional growth of our young students, we do prepare pre-kindergarteners for continued success in their future studies.

          We provide a weekly specialty class called Brain Gym, which is taught by an outside teacher and has been known to facilitate learning through movement. It includes a series of exercises that help to build neural pathways, thus enhancing concentration, memory and physical coordination. A typical Brain Gym class includes an obstacle course, instrument play and games that involve listening, mimicry and whole body movement, all set to music.
